Well known cricketer Ben Dunk is all set to play for Melbourne Stars team in the forthcoming season of Big Bash League. The left arm batsman will be seen as a leading player of Melbourne Stars team in BBL 2017-18.
Scoring 364 runs in the previous season of Australian domestic cricket tournament, Dunk became the highest run-scorer. Showcasing similar performance in the third edition of BBL, Dunk scored 395 runs and grabbed first rank in the run-scoring table.
Talking about his selection in Melbourne Stars, Dunk said, “I am really excited to join the Melbourne Stars. It is a great opportunity to work with (coach) Stephen Fleming and new captain John Hastings.”
Dunk seemed quite eager and excited for the upcoming season of BBL. “I am looking forward to joining up with the squad this summer to work on our pursuit of a Big Bash League title”, the cricketer further said in a media interview.
Melbourne Stars will be captained by Australian cricketer John Hastings in this edition of Big Bash League. The team will confront with Brisbane Heat in its opening game on 20th December 2017. Seventh season of BBL is slated to commence on 19th December this year.
